“This is a great movie.
It’s just a good movie.
I really like it.
I’m happy with the direction it’s going in.
I think it’s the best movie of its time.”
– Jonny Lee MillerThe filmmaker talks about the making of his new film, Snow Mountain, in this new interview with TIME.
The interview was conducted over the phone from his home in Santa Clarita, California, which he shares with his wife, Laura, and his two children, Eli and James.
For the film, Miller and his wife decided to go back to the original Snow Mountain for a sequel.
In an interview, Miller said, “I think the idea that this was going to be a Snow Mountain sequel was an incredible one.”
The movie, starring Jonny Lewis and Ben Haggerty, is set in the mid-1950s in Los Angeles.
The film follows the adventures of a man named Harry, a man who’s a retired snowman who has a dream of returning to the snowy land he’s known for decades.
Miller was the first to adapt the book series, but he had to take a backseat to Haggerity, who had a bigger screen presence.
The book series itself was inspired by a film that was made about the same time and which Miller also wrote.
“I was really happy to write a sequel to Snow Mountain,” Miller said.
“And I really enjoyed that book.
It was great, and I really liked the script.
But I was also very frustrated that we didn’t get to have another one.”
This is the first time the two have collaborated on a film.
“It was a real pleasure to collaborate on this movie with him, but it’s also an adventure, and a great adventure, too, because it’s about two people who are stuck together and trying to survive the winter,” Miller added.
“We are going to do something different in this film, but we will definitely get back to Snow in a different way.”
The film stars Lewis and Haggery, as Harry and his nephew James, and is directed by Scott Alexander, who also wrote the book, The Adventures of Snow Mountain.
“They’re just really great actors,” Miller explained of Lewis and his son, Ethan.
“I mean, I’m a huge fan of Scott Alexander.
I mean, he’s just such an amazing actor.
I was really excited to work with him.”
